Fountain of Youth, the newly relocated skate and apparel shop on Eddy Street, opened with grand style on Saturday, September 13.  Part Owner and professional skateboarder, Donny Barley, hosted a skateboarding demo at the Bank of America Skating Center.  Hundreds of youngsters and old-schoolers on four wheels showed up for the event, filling the rink with the sound of pounding boards.  Four local skate shop owners competed in a game of S.K.A.T.E., and a temporary skate park was set up in the rink.  Long after the festivities were over, skaters lingered to work on their tricks and check out the bands playing the Downtown Student Experience.  Fountain of Youth gave a warm welcome party for its new neighborhood, shredding kickers and busting Backside Smith Grinds till the sun went down!
